I started training with Dani a year ago. I had a strong practice in yoga and acro yoga, and while I was very happy with my balance and flexibility, there were advanced skills that I just wasn’t strong enough to do. I signed up for Dani’s Women in the Weight Room group to build strength, and that’s all. I gained much more than strength. I gained confidence; I’m not intimidated by equipment in the gym now because Dani has walked me through how to safely use everything I need. I gained friendships with other women. I am so grateful to be in this group of motivated women who cheer for and support each other; it’s really true that we accomplish more together than alone. We lift, we laugh, we get fierce! It is hard work, but Dani knows what she’s doing, and I am so happy with the results. I gained control over my weight. I learned from following Dani’s nutrition instructions how to not live at the mercy of the food I eat. I gained control over my size and shape, and with smart planning, I can eat gummy worms and rice krispies treats and lose weight! I keep getting stronger, mentally and physically. Most importantly, I continue to redefine what I’m capable of accomplishing. I have much more confidence, and not just in my physical shape, but that I can meet the challenges in my life the way I meet the challenge of adding more weight to the bar, with determination and tenacity, knowing someone is there to spot me when I struggle. I don’t say to myself,“oh, you can’t do that,” or think that I missed my window to try something new because I’m in my 40’s. I can do it. I am doing it. Thank you Dani for leading me through this amazing year of transformation!

“I started working with Dani over a year and a half ago. I had been doing another workout consistently for 5 years, was eating“clean” good and while it worked for me for a while I had hit a plateau and started slowly gaining weight. I added more workouts in to try and counter it, and while it would work momentarily, if I would deviate from my diet any bit, I’d balloon out and immediately gain 5 lbs. It was a constant roller coaster. I started working with Dani averaging about 1,300 calories a day doing mostly cardio 3-4 x’s a week. Dani slowly started adding carbs and fat into my daily diet and before long I was up to over 2,000 calories a day, down 10 lbs and looking at food in a completely different way. I do minimal cardio and mostly weights now. I am stronger today than I have ever been, eating more than I ever thought was possible in order to be“lean” but most of all, my relationship with food is completely different. I don’t look at specific foods as“good” or“bad” but as options. I know that I need carbs and fat in order to grow muscle and be healthy. My nutrition is like a check book, I know what I need and if there are things I“want” I make sure it all balances out. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how much my life has changed with the help of Dani!”
I am honestly mind blown by this entire process and I get it now. For the first time in my life I have found something that works!!! Not only does it work, but it is not a quick fix, but a long term solution that I never thought I’d find. I NEVER thought I could be one of those“girls” that could lose weight and not have to starve themselves. I was convinced my body didn’t do well with carbs b/c of various other programs I’ve done in the past. I will NEVER be at that point again, and now truly understand the importance of them when calculated correctly. For the first time in a LONG time…I feel that I have a healthy relationship with food.
