There are pros & cons to a short prep, and there are pros and cons too long one. By the time I get to my first show of this season, I’ll have been dieting for only 13 weeks. My lost prep was 24 weeks long. So I’ve now had personal experience for both scenarios, and the knowledge I’ve gained has been incredibly valuable.
