Improvement Season Supplement Routine

I get a lot of questions regarding the supplements I use/recommend so I figured I’d break it down right here.

For this blog I’ll share my OFF season necessities – these are the basics and are also good for those who don’t compete but want to live a fit lifestyle (and look like they workout). 

Whey Isolate Protein Powder

1-2 scoops of Isothority per day, by Nutrithority. My top two favorite flavors are Cookies N Cream & Chocolate Peanut Butter. Typically I have one shake at breakfast (mixed with 8oz of water) and 1 immediately post workout along with some carbs.


Mr. Fusion by Nutrithority. I love this one because its the perfect amount of caffeine, doesn’t make me feel sick to my stomach, I get a great pump, and it has that mental focus effect which I love. My favorite flavors are Blue Shaved Ice & Black Cherry, but they all taste good! If you’re looking for one without caffeine, try Pump Capacitor. This one is the same formula of Mr. Fusion, minus the caffeine.

BCAA’s (Branch Chain Amino Acids).

I get the Amino Factor by Nutrithority. I honestly like all of the flavors so I change it up all the time. I drink these specifically around my workouts. They’re used to help spike protein synthesis which helps maintain muscle mass, and is that extra 1% to help slowly add muscle mass over time (the more muscle you have, the better your metabolism runs). They also aid with muscle recovery, which is vital for me while lifting weights 5 days a week. The better my muscles are recovered, the better workouts I will have the following days, the more muscle I’ll add over time.

This is a substance found naturally in muscle cells. It helps your muscles produce energy during heavy lifting or high-intensity exercise. Taking it as a supplement is very popular among athletes and bodybuilders in order to gain muscle, enhance strength and improve exercise performance. It basically helps you to produce more ATP (the body’s natural energy currency). When you have more ATP, you’re able to perform better during exercise. Even though out bodies already make it on it’s own, it’s important to supplement more when you live a very active lifestyle.

1. Ashwagandha: helps regulate cortisol levels. Cortisol has a HUGE impact on fat loss/weight gain. If it’s out of whack it’s going to make the process much more difficult.
